INFORMATION BROKERS THREATEN PRIVACY AND PERSONAL SECURITY – ERIC DREW REPORTS

Eric Drew, nationally recognized expert on Identity Theft Prevention, and founder of KnightsBridge Castle, discusses the need for new legislation to protect personal privacy and personal information access on the Internet. Eric contrasts traditional regulated information brokers with the new unscrupulous and unregulated Internet information brokers. Eric describes the breakdown of the regulatory mechanisms, which allows this new kind of Internet information broker to sell personal information to anyone – including organized crime groups and identity thieves. He concludes with a call for regulatory reform and for the enforcement of our current laws for privacy protection against these new information suppliers. In addition he provides a few simple actions you can take today to reduce your exposure to identity theft and unethical disclosure of you and your family’s privacy.
